After vacuuming, let some baking soda take effect on your carpet. Then vacuum clean again to remove all residue. This also works with curtains or mattresses, it is important that you let the soda soak for a few hours!
Perfuming shoes
Smelly shoes? Baking soda can put an end to that too. First, clean your shoe soles well with soap. Then put a few tablespoons of baking soda in a cotton bag in your shoes and let it soak overnight. After this, the stale smells have disappeared.
Uncloging your drain!
To unclog your drain, mix baking soda with hot water and throw it down your drain. Leave this on overnight and add another liter of hot water the next morning. This really helps to make your sink free of grease residues!
