Keeping your plants alive while you’re on vacation is possible, thanks to this DIY!

So once you have collected a few laces or pieces of rope, you can proceed. You need one lace for each plant. Use a thin lace for the small plants and a thicker lace for the larger plants. That’s obvious, right? Using materials that contain natural fibers is also very important. This way, the water is absorbed the best!

Group the plants in the living room in a bright spot, but not in full sunlight. Make sure that the groups of plants are not too large. A maximum of five or six plants per bucket, or else the water will run out too quickly. What we want to avoid with this hack is letting the plants die, of course. Now fill the bucket and place it in the middle between all the plants. You can also add plant nutrition to the water if you wish.

Then place one end of the lace into each plant. Press the laces into the soil. Place the other end of the lace into the bucket of water. The next step is to pack your bags and enjoy your vacation! Now that you know that your plants will survive while you are gone, your vacation will be extra carefree. So what are you waiting for…book your trip and enjoy a vacation again after all the corona stress!
