1. Ethereum (ETH)
Bitcoin’s biggest competitor is of course Ethereum, the blockchain of choice for many developers. Ethereum is a smart contract platform, on which decentralized apps are built. Ether is the name of the platform’s cryptocurrency. 1 Ether is worth over $4,000 at the time of writing. So it’s not a very cheap currency. However, you don’t have to buy a whole one. For the long term, Ether is expected to have enough room to grow and increase in value!
2. Chainlink (LINK)
An absolute powerhouse can be found in Chainlink (Link). In May 2021, the price shot from just over $2 to a peak of $52 in just a few months. For the fast calculators among us, that is indeed an increase of no less than 2500%. You can book a nice vacation with that amount of money. The Chainlink platform revolves around smart contracts. Anyway, one of the most promising altcoins for 2022.
