The best way to clean rubber edges is with a cotton pad and bleach. Put some bleach on a cotton pad (or swab at small corners) and gently go over the edges. Leave it on for a while and then clean it well with a clean cloth. You will see that the dirt comes off very easily!
Prevention is always better than cure, and we have a brilliant tip for this. Vaseline! Apply a layer of vaseline onto the edges. Do this very thinly. Then go over it with a layer of car wax and the water and dirt will slide right off!
