The holidays are a time when people take it easy! Eating well is mainly done during December. But all that good food also has a downside. It feels like your stomach is some kind of inflated balloon, and no matter what you do, there seems to be no end to the bubbling sounds and cramping. These tips will get you through the holidays without a stomachache!
1. Let it go…
This may sound a little gross, but it’s something that can help… Often, such a queasy feeling in your stomach is the result of gases forming in your stomach and intestines. The longer you try to hold it in, the more the pressure builds and the worse the stomach ache and cramps become. Bottom line: just let the air out now and then. Bowel movements are natural – but do it in the hallway or toilet. It’s polite to do so.
